Just last year...

It's hard to accept that only one year ago Elizabeth was abandoned at the hospital. But that doesn't mean her parents didn't love her. In this country we take our healthcare for granted. We can still receive medical care even when we can't pay for it here in the USA. It's not like that in China. Elizabeth has B Thalassemia major and requires monthly blood transfusions. Some people can't afford this, and there is also a blood shortage in China. It's unfair! But the harsh reality is, often loving moms and dads abandon their sick kids to give them a better chance at survival. They leave them somewhere safe, hoping/praying their medical needs will be taken care of by someone else-through orphanage programs or adoption.

Elizabeth needs to be transfused... without it, she will most likely die.

She seems like such a cuddle kitten!  And I'm praying she will learn to trust us. That she will understand a LOVE that will NEVER leave her NOR forsake her....
Lord I pray you protect her little heart...
