Fall, I guess you are welcome...

I have to admit, I wasn't ready to give up summer this year. Well, every year I have trouble letting go but usually by October I'm in full fall swing. Not this year. It's almost November and I'm just realizing warm temps are a thing of the past.
But life is too short, so I have pushed myself to do all the "fally" stuff! And it has been fun...
My grandbaby Micah is getting so big. These moments with him will be gone in the blink of an eye. I know too well how quickly these days disappear. Lord help me to treasure each moment we have.
And I am determined to make this kid a Thomas the Tank Engine Fan!!!

I have to say that these these guys are having a wonderful fall! A leap in maturity, and good health!
Praising God!

Been trying to make Art a priority this fall. Asher thrives while creating. And Evan needs only a nudge, then he takes off. Now to get Levi involved. We need to work on those fine motor skills :)
And as for this girl... Wow! We hardly see that same kid that came to the USA 3 1/2 years ago. She's becoming a considerate, compassionate, kind, patient, beautiful, polite... young woman. She's the most helpful person I have ever known. I mean that. I am amazed at her transformation. And I know it's God.
Arielle started going to a Chinese Church in Cherry Hill for Friday night youth group a little over a month ago. She is thriving! Right now she is part of an outreach for Chinese international students.
We've had long walks in the woods...

And Pumpkin Picking Fun!

We picked the perfect pumpkin... and named it!
"Jack the Amazing Big Bertha Pumpkin"
We also went to the Zoo... I hate to see a beautiful sunny fall day wasted on staying indoors. Fieldtrip!

Gourmet Lunch!
till the next post.... November!

Another Friday Night Post - Victorious

God is teaching me love, kindness, patience, endurance, grace, mercy and faithfulness.

This is an ongoing thing, always growing as I follow Him where He leads.

I guess that's how we all grow; through day by day living.

And when He calls you to a task, obedience is defined when you continue to walk the path even when it becomes rocky, steep, or even blocked.

I’m thinking specifically about the

everyday personal ministry walk

we experience in our normal affairs of life. It would be easy, and maybe even justified to walk away from responsibilities that become draining.

Is it a problem within the human heart, an empty area that needs refilling, that becomes the catalyst? Do I need more time with Almighty God for refreshing? refocusing? Probably.

In my most resent “draining” situation, I had to remind myself over and over that my feelings can’t dictate my actions. There’s a victory to be won....

The greatest challenges produce the

I believe this with all my heart. I've seen it over and over work out this way.

And I praise God for that!

When I choose to focus on the situation(because that's the easy thing to do), it's hopeless.
When I choose to focus on the Victorious One, Jesus Christ, and His calling toward love, kindness, patience, endurance, grace, mercy and faithfulness, I'm changed within.

I’m committed to You my Lord Jesus. You are my victory. You give me strength and fill me when I am drained and my flesh can stand no longer. I look to you. I can’t do anything, but You can do everything. I am weak, incapable, but You are strong and Victorious!

And when I’m focused on Your brilliance, that light illuminates the path you led me to and guides me through the dark periods of this call.

Thank you Jesus for Your promises. Your Restoration.

Isaiah 40:31

“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Friday Night Post - Good News!

For those of you who don't know what it means...
DTC = Dossier To China
I can't begin to tell you how relieved I am to have that pile of paper on it's way to Beijing!
We celebrated with Chinese Food (of course)!
I should have a LID (Log In Date) within the next couple weeks,
I'm ready to send another package to Liz and ask for an update. I haven't had a little girl in the house for a very long time. So we need to get just about everything. Clothes, underwear, shoes, etc. And girly toys! Well, I did buy a few things :) Online yard sales have become a good friend of mine!

I started an online Jelly Beans website to document her entry into our family. It's kinda like a baby-book. I did something like this for each of our adoptions.
After about a year I will have it all put on a CD.

CLICK HERE if you would like to check it out.
It's PW protected -I will put the PW on our private FB group.

Philippians 2: 1-5

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit & purpose.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition... but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.

Lord make me a humble servant, obedient to Your voice, unified with the Body, able to stand against discouragement and opposition.

To be humble, and

 to have an attitude...

of Christ Jesus...
